I love data. I share data openly. (I even published a set of charts and stats around my newborn’s breastfeeding habits and diaper changes!)

But Google/Apple just gave the govt the ability to tell you you’re standing too close to somebody else… and I’m not even kidding!

The premise: let the phones do the tracing! Our phones never leave our side and the chances of me returning a phone call to a contact tracer decrease inversely to the % of asymptomatic cases to be frank!

So let’s go the FAQ:

There are 2 functions here 1) collect data on phones near each other & 2) allow health authorities to build apps to use the new API.

My big problem is this:
“…instructions on next steps.”

“Instructions” can quickly turn into “mandates” as these last few months have shown.
